The junk food tax would fund obesity related health initiatives such as diabetes care. Obesity has been acknowledge d as a national problem, notion of taxing junk food doesnt seem so bad. Secondly, Americans adopt to take better control over what they eat and what they feed their children. We must take a fend for against obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease in children and young adults. Most dissipated foods contain process meats and considered unhealthy in children. Americans dont shake off an ideal what they are eating in fast food restaurants. How the government determined what foods should be served in schools. A straddle of school systems such as Texas and California had a great idea to remove soft drinks, pop, soda, power drinks and cola from the schools lunch rooms along with fast foods such as burgers, French fries, hot ogs and gubbins stores, too fight the obesity epidemic among the coupled States and children. Replace drinks with orange juice, and water. Replace fast foods with voguish fruits, vegetables, salads and exercise. Obesity in the United Stat es has risen from 48 percent to 65 percent within the give out thirty years and so has health care which has sky racket. We need to be more proactive in saving our children by eating healthier foods in the home and school.Schools need to change the peddle machines to reflect eating healthy will help the body to set out healthier. The school environment, nutrition, organizational take for groups, school policies that take away things such as sweetened beverages, and replace them with water, juice, fruit, vegetables and less junk food. approachability of less healthful food and beverages in schools is worldwide. Despite changes in improving school food environment, availability of high fat food such things as pizza and hamburgers remain high in United States schools.Canadian elementary schools seem to have fewer vending machines, but less healthful food and beverages are available to all grades as they are made available through outlets such as cafeteria, school stores. It is s aid that schools may influence students into eating unhealthy by the lunches they stick out and the vending machines that are in schools. Lastly, fast foods are not good because they have no nutrition value, most children that assimilate fast foods on a daily basic start to gain weight due to wishing of exercise. Children watch more TV and play more video games than exercising.Less exercise in schools, have besides been a major factor contributing to obesity in children. Fast foods make children tired, the more you eat the less energy you have. When you walk into a store whether its a large market store or a small convenience store the lack of fruits and vegetables are small. Most children and adults are unaware that they have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Most children who suffer from obesity also have a high rate of asthma. It would be a good idea if governments would rate schools on lunches they are providing to students. The school should prohibit advertising of fast foods, sweets and pop, prohibit use of less healthful foods , provide advertising that deals with eating healthy and healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, seek educational requirements for school food and include requirements for nutrition education. Include exercise in the diet each day that way children wont feel tried after eating lunch. They will burn off fast and their bodies will feel better and become better in the long run. We need our children to be healthy. We need to quash sickness, obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.Americans need to limit the intake of fast foods and start looking at healthy choices for themselves and their children. Medical bills have sky racket. If we plan to keep our multiplication of children around we better start looking at better ways of eating and providing nutrient in our everyday diet. Most people have cars, less people walk, ride bikes, or exercise. We have become lazy when it comes to exercise and eati ng healthy. Look at your children and ask yourself, do I want my child to continue looking like this, obese, sick and unhealthy.

Indirect free kick Essay Example for Free

Indirect free billing Essay there argon fouls and misconduct happen during and sometimes after the match in football. When a player kicks or attempts to kick another opp peerlessnt is one of the offences, however there are other ways of make an offence and thats by move an opponent which can be used by utilise your hands to throw them down, using the legs which is a common one, however, it is in any case an offence to just stand in front of them or behind them. There are more offences and they are jumping at an opponent, charging them in a violent or in dangerous way, charging them from behind using boot feet, attempting or striking to strike at the opponent, holding and move an opponent and finally it is also an offence to handle the ball for example carrying it, striking it or using their hand or arm which is consequently followed up by giving the other aggroup an validating free kick. When a player has the ball and he makes a back pass to his netminder directly, and t he goalie holds the ball with his hands or has any contact with his hand therefore the other team result be rewarded with an indirect free kick. This rule was put it in place recently in 1992 which was through with(p) because it stopped the goalkeeper from wasting time and holding the ball from opportunities to the other team and by also taking possession of the ball with the hands. This also stopped the goalkeeper from having more than 6 seconds limit of goalkeeper possession. Another reason for this rule to be put in place was because it made the grittys more elicit and less boring. In revision for a team to score a goal, the tout ensemble ball passes everyplace the goal line, in between the goalposts and under the crossbar. As you can see in the picture to the right, it shows that the whole ball has to pass otherwise even if its touching the line a little human action its considered as play on with no goal. There have been some recent changes in football because a lot of times the referee is blamed for not making the right stopping point about the ball going in or not so therefore FA has introduced a sore referee which is called an assistant referee and his job is to stand on the goal line to make authoritative and have a better view of the ball going in or not. They have do this because it ruins the fair play between the teams especially when the games are very important. In order for a team to win a match, the team has to have more goals than the other team and if it ends up being equal, then the game ends as a draw which means neither of the teams won. In some games there big businessman be tautologic time provided because one team has to win so therefore they play with extra time.A goal can be scored from anywhere on the play, from anyone who is playing and that included the goalkeeper too. Goals are also scored from penalties and free kicks. However a goal cannot be scored directly from a throw in so therefore it has to be touched by someo ne else after the throw in order to score a goal.A goal cannot be counted if the referee has not blown his whistle for the game to restart. Another way a goal cannot be scored is if you are taking an indirect free kick because its indirect so therefore the ball has to be passed to someone in your team and then you can score.

Human Resource Managers in a Multinational Company Essay Example for Free

Human Resource Managers in a Multinational Company look for1. To what extent atomic number 18 human resource managers in a multinational company restricted by heathenish and institutional factors in implementing policies and rules across their subsidiaries? Discuss your answer giving examples. In the face of globalization, organisations assay to develop the human resource management strategy (HRMS) between global integration and local contraryiation. This is regarded as a critical concern for multinational enterprises (MNEs) since they suffer from cultural and institutional differences to integrate HRM approach patterns and shape HRM activities to take abroad. Regarding that, severally cultural and institutional factors are developed over its history with unique insight into managing the organisation, the grab HRM practice would vary. The unalikeiation in national culture and institution call the diametrical management practices that consume to be concerned signific antly especially for multinational companies managers. Researchers amplylight the congruence between these factors and HR practice for extravagantlyer(prenominal)(prenominal) organsational performance. When the HRM practice fits with the basic appraise shared by employees, the employment satisfaction, employee motivation and commitment al minor for be attained. This comes with the implication that cultural and institutional factors are pivotal in shaping the decisions and policies of managers of organisations. In this essay, it pass on explain what is the institutional and cultural factor with theoretical attack. After that it will suggest implications of institutional and cultural perspective for world-wide Human Resource Management to answer how these factors influence in implementing management policies and practices. agree to Hofstede (1991), Culture refers to the shared sets of beliefs, values and norms that is programmed into an actors mind. It is regarded as the psycho logical software and sets of informal rule, dapple institution is more hardware of modified and negotiated legal systems that actors follow. The institutionalism tensiones the legitimacy, which organsations struggle to acquiring and maintaining in relation to the environment. superstar of the new institutionalist theories, the Variety of capitalism, treats the corporation as a relationships ne t make water that locates organisation in itsstakeholders with employees and with competitors. The approach highlights the importance of institutional complementarities that argue the success of an organisation depending on the capability to coordinate effectively. The theory draws two types of policy-making and economic structures across nations. One is the liberal grocery economic orientation (LME) and the other is the interconnected market economic orientation (CME). Companies in some North-Western European countries including Germany and Switzerland with CMEs tend to allow extremely structured arrangements in labour market that form strong trade union. Banks in these countries are highly integrated with firms and have persistent-term capital. In contrast, there are loose hire and fire labour market regulations and dispersed international investors in the U.K and U.S.A where classified as LMEs. The source of finance in these countries is the stock market, with the clearly difference. The figure1 demonstrates that corporations in these unlike types of systems do not operate in the same market.Figure 1. Institutions across sub-spheres of the political economy Source Hall and Soskice, (2001)It shows the positions of OCED countries that describe institutional character in the fiscal and labour market. The higher festering in a stock market implies higher dependency on market coordination with emphasis on financial criteria, whereas a higher degree of protection for employees is likely to rely more on non-market criteria. The flexible labour market in LMEs is s uitable to easy access to stock market capital. referable to the competitive market conditions, firms in LME markets highly underline the financial performance rather than long-term strategies. spooky investors such as those from the hedge fund tend to hesitate to investing in companies with long-term and indeterminate employee training that ties capital in workers skills. Conversely, long-term employment arrangement and long-term capital remain in the essence of CMEs.The institutional considerations lead to antithetical types of organisational behavior and investment patterns that shape different HRM policies and practices. Firms in LMEs emphasise dead-term competition that likely treatemployees as disposable resources. Employees performances are appraised item-by-itemly with a financial incentive system so managers are empowered to control HRM with considerable autonomy. Investments in employee training and development are classified as overhead. In contrast, HRM polices i n CMEs regard employees as valuable assets for sustaining a competitive advantage thus tend to make a greater effort in investments in harvest-home innovation and employee development encouraging employment stability. In the system, the higher degrees of job security and work effectiveness commitment are derived, since its employment regulation and laws are protected from strong trade union and government. Moreover, different business systems across nations also significantly impact HRM issues. The issues including working hours, plot of performance appraisal and job contract are highly influenced by local institutional arrangement. The MNCs in Japan prioritize work organisation, which contains quality oriented and flexible practice, and their HR practices are adopted to be suitable with this approach. Likewise, German MNCs, where short run financial ratio is not a greater concern, rely more on long term strategies that highly regulate the hours of work and worker participation. I n this regard, the ability of MNCs to fit various institutional arrangements with the local environment is essential to have an advantage in global operations. The evidence from the survey conducted by Guest and Hoque (1996) show that MNCs in Germany do not implement their best practices into subsidiaries in the U.K. such as long-term employment plans, union perception and employee training.Another crucial factor managers from MNCs should consider for effective HRM is culture. It is simulated as the major source of differentiation in managerial behavior among different nations. One of the nigh widely cited approaches to culture, Hofstedes break down (1980), classifies four cultural dimensions based on the survey data from 116,000 IBM employees. The study suggests possible origin and consequence for managerial behavior in different dimension scenes. Power hold reflects the dependent relationship between superior and subordinate. Companies in high power distance subordinate have high dependence to superior with greater reverence through the hierarchical structure. Uncertainty dodging measures different degrees of preparation for future risk and ambiguity. In risk adverseorganisations, rule making and bureaucracy are placed to deal with possibilities of risk and members prefer to behave what they are expected. Individualism versus collectivism dimension reveals the different level of desire to feeling that they belong with a group. At last, masculinity versus womanhood dimension presents different values that masculine and feminine society prefer differently. Highly masculine societies have a higher tendency to be competitive since high earning and challenging careers are important values for employees. In societies with muliebrity tendencies, values related to satisfaction, security and cooperation are emphasised. The study highlights the importance of culture to coordinate different managerial behavior for international businesses. Another cross-cultural approach, Halls study (1976) classifies cultures into low and high context cultures, each with distinct demands and preferences. The culture characterizes the nature of human relationship, communication and authority. For example, the line of distinction between high and low context cultural communication has been particularly documented. According to Hall and Hall (1990), in high context communication, speakers tend to utilize relative indirect style of communication. On the other hand, in low context communication, speakers often employ more or less direct communication style. Clearly, these communication dimensions champaign is an overlap of the individualisation-collectivism from Hofstedes study. Collectivist societies often concern about minimizing the chances of hurting other parties. These groups emphasise the value conformity and traditions. It is for this reason that they prefer to use high context communication. The team members of collectivists often prefer communicating directly with their leaders. They are often concerned about avoiding responses that are negative, a move that is aimed at maintaining harmony. any form of communication is aimed at fostering interpersonal communication. The tendency is reversed in individualist societies where each member pays more attention to personal goals and interests. The different communication styles and human relationships naturally relate to the different preferences of organisational structure that shape the HRM practices and policies. The culture influences multiple aspects of HRM, thus it is likely to beeffective when HR practice and policy fit with the culture. In regard to recruitment, collectivistic cultures prefer network based recruitment order like employee referrals. The method is supposed to enhance employee commitment and loyalty that strengthens the social network. Since collectivism highlights cooperation rather than individual achievement, it more considers candidates ascribed statuses mor e than personal skills and knowledge. Conversely, employers in an individualistic organisation select candidates based on infallible abilities through highly structured methods such as bureaucratic interviews. Similarly, the organisation with high uncertainty avoidance index prefers open recruitment with the use of more structured selection method as it is highly correlated with formalisation. In terms of performance appraisal, individualised appraisal and rewards are highly correlated with individualism and lower degree of uncertainty avoidance. Regarding that various reward practices based on individual performance would take in uncertainty it is less likely to emerge in risk adverse society. The incentive scheme may also not be needed in high power distance cultures since subordinates are more likely to be motivated by superiors direction. The merit-based selection and promotion, which consider individual performance and function to the organisation is related to individualism and low level of power distance. It is opposed to the value from collectivism and femininity that emphasise group harmony and cooperation. In conclusion, institution and culture significantly influence in managerial behavior. It is needed to take institutional and cultural factors into consideration in shaping and adopting management policies and practices. Cultural and institutional factors are so varied that they integrate all the factors oriented towards social and ethical responsibilities, which is a major focus for contemporary organisations. Cultural values demands that decision and policies that managers make reflect the interests of the society, including those of the institutions. Since the inappropriate management sentiment may trigger mis misgiving and conflict among subsidiaries it is vital for effective management.Clearly, Institutional and cultural researches contribute to analysing and understanding various manifestations of HR across a border. However, managers shoul d take carefulconsideration before implementing specific HR practices or policies to prevent overly deterministic connection from the theoretical context. In order to achieve made performance, MNCs have to adjust and moderate management practice in accordance with the local environment. The differences in a business system, local environment and culture between home and host countries are the significant determinants for some(prenominal) evolutions.References1 Aycan, Z. Duffy-Exploitation of Women Essay Example for Free

Duffy-Exploitation of Women EssayTo what extent is Duffy a poet who exposes the exploitation of women and fights against their barely oppression? In your retort, you must include detailed critical discussion of rest Female nude statue and at least one other meter by Duffy. In response to the question above, I feel that Duffy is a poet who portrays the exploitation of women and does at times fights against their further oppression. In my view, just now by raising these controversial issues Duffy is drawing attention to the matter and consequently fighting against their further oppression. The agnomen Standing Female Nude is in itself significant. A single-valued function from sounding possibly slightly inappropriate, the title reveals the objectification of women and their point in fellowship. The word Standing however, gives the reader the impression that the casing does make up some(prenominal) sort of empowerment, as it is usually referred to as who has a high reputa tion or a position in society. This is presumable later on in the poem.Duffy immediately presents the issue of the exploitation of women and in my view, as a conduct is fighting against their further oppression by making people aware of the problem. The poem starts six hours comparable this for a few francs. This shows the reader how dismissive the character is towards whatever she is doing. The fact that she is so dismissive suggests that she is universe treated unjustly. The harsh alliteration few francs really emphasizes how the character feels she is too good to be doing that detail job or that she is simply non organism paid enough for her services.Either way, it reveals how Duffy highlights the exploitation of women by being mistreated and underpaid. In the threesome line of the first stanza, the poem reads he drains the colour from me. This could be either in a literal sense due to the fact someone is doing a image of her or in a metaphorical sense in that the puma is actually taking part of her, possibly suggesting that her dignity is being taken away. The way that the character is being bossed by the male painter shows that the woman is not in control of the situation.Although, the man refers to her as Madame, which could be a sign of notice towards the character I feel however, that it could possibly be interpreted to be said in a sarcastic and condescending tone. This adds further weight to my view that Duffy is exposing the exploitation of women and is fighting against their further oppression by making the reader aware of situation and the problems that women face. The word hung in the fourth line suggests that the character is no more than a piece of meat.It implies that the female person person character will suck very little put on from her work compared to the artist and emphasises the inferiority and exploitation of the woman. The fact that the painter is given a name and the female character in the poem is not, insinuates that s he is of no great importance and again highlights how the woman is exploited. In my opinion, this is some other key point Duffy includes in the poem to reiterate the issue of womens exploitation. It is an travail to fight against their further contumely by forcing people to think about the issue. In the first two stanzas all the negative points were order towards the female character. However, in the third and fourth stanza Duffy completely turns it around and focuses on the painters downfalls. This is demonstrated in the third stanza when she refers to him as little man. This is a sign of empowerment on her behalf, as she exploits his sexual attraction towards her by belittling him, referring to his sexual attributes. This is another example of how Duffy possibly fights against womens further oppression. However, I can understand how some people may disagree with Duffy as her view could be seen as a generalised theatrical performance of men and thus could lead some people to dra w the conclusion that her poem verges on being hypocritical. Nevertheless, I still feel that Duffy is simply exposing how women are exploited in an attempt to fight against their further oppression. The jiffy poem I am going analyse is Whoever She Was. Like the title in the preliminary poem, the title Whoever She Was is significant in relation to the poems meaning. The past tense verb, was in the title implies that the character has no identicalness and suggests she is not the same person as she was before. This perhaps indicates that as the character has lost her identity possibly due to her exploitation. The female character in the poem is described as a quiver figure on a shilling screen. The word flickering gives mangle the impression that the character is not constant in the sense that a candle flutters. This gives the reader an image of something going on and off and thus not constant. This could in any case be interpreted as her moving back and forth among reality and pa st memories of her children. This gives the impression that she is delimit by her role as a mother. Although, the exploitation of the women is shown in a different light and is perhaps, not as sheer as in Standing female Nude, Duffy is still exposing the exploitation of women. In the second line of the first stanza, the poem reads My hands, still wet, sprout woody pegs. The reference to sprout wooden pegs is metaphorical in that it reveals the determined roles of women as mothers. It is a very unimaginative view of mothers and the fact that the woman is saying this emphasises how she herself is defined by these roles and has herself been exploited. The mothers exploitation is also made apparent to the reader when the poem describes how she smells the apples burning as I hang the washing out. By including this Duffy is perhaps exhausting to show us how the character is living her life through the past memories of her children. I believe this as the smell of burning apples is quit e translucentive and this could bring back memories of when she used to cook for her children. This would underline how she has been defined by her role as a mother and not through her individual character. This shows that Duffy exposes the exploitation of women and highlights the attitudes towards mothers in an attempt to fight against their further oppression. The exploitation of the character is shown further when the poem narrates Mummy, say the little voices of the ghosts of children on the telephone. Mummy. The children are referred to as ghosts implying that they are no longer children. However, the mother still views them as children, perhaps because she has been identify by her role as a mother all her life and she considers this to be normal and true. Again, this reiterates Duffys decision and meaning of the poem by presenting the exploitation of women to the reader, which as result opposes their further oppression. The quote in the second stanza the film is on a loop is p ossibly a metaphor to the characters life. The word loop indicates the repetitiveness of her life because of the fact she is always characterised by her role as a mother and nothing else.It suggests that the character is stuck in a continuous cycle and cannot let go of her duties and responsibilities of being a mother. This is again reflects her self-perception of only when having worth and purpose as a mother. In my view, Duffy is trying to show the reader how the conventions and expectations of motherhood have influenced her personality and perception of herself. By doing this, Duffy is exposing the issue, possibly in an attempt to help people to understand how society has left the character to feel isolated.Consequently, Duffy is fighting against the injustices suffered by women. In the fourth stanza, Duffy deliberately mixes the narrative of the poem from first person to third person. This gives the reader the concept that the character in the poem does not distinguish herself . Because of this, we also get the impression that the character does not have a definitive sense of identity. This is also the case for the character in Standing Female Nude as she also has no distinct identity because of what she has to do in order to survive. In my view, Duffy purposely gives the characters no definitive identity to emphasise how their character and personality has been taken away because of their exploitation. Therefore, Duffy is revealing the exploitation of women to draw attention to the issue, in an attempt to combat womens further oppression. To conclude, although some people may find Duffys poetry to be an unfair imitation of men and to a certain extent be sexist, I feel that Duffy is simply trying to provoke awareness of the exploitation of women. Therefore, I feel that Duffy is opposing womens further oppression. The two poems Standing Female Nude and Whoever She Was are generally quite dissimilar they do have certain aspects which are similar. For exampl e, both characters do not have a real identity and although in very different circumstances, the two characters have been exploited. Once again, I believe that Duffy is simply a poet who exposes the exploitation of women in an attempt to help mitigate the situation for others.

But patriots and philanthropists restore peace and tranquility. accordingly peace should be reined on earth for our own survival.2. Pen is mightier t han swordTaken literally, the saying may seen to be contrary to common sense but the words Pen and Sword stand for source and soldier respectively. So it is clearly seen that a pen is stronger then a sword. That is a write is to a greater extent powerful and efficient than a warrior. Our history speaks a volume regarding Alecgender, Changis Khan, and Napoleon and so on. But the writer likes Shaxphere, Voltaire, Rosseau, Rabindra Nath are much more immortal and inspirational to all to the all ages to comes. Any weapon or any warrior can not maintain peace and mankind. On the other hand an influential writer can restore or sustain integration and harmony among all as Gandhi Ji or Ashoka could. So we have seen that powerful weapons are not constructive means as the Ramayana, The Mahabharata, the Bible or the Korana can do. The massages of these books inspired the epoch making revolution. The baby bird is father of the manThis line contains a deeper meaning underlying this unvarnished contradiction. It suggests that all the aptitudes of a c child develop as he captures-up. As mor ning shows the daytime so also childhood shows the man. If the day dawns with the clear sky and bright rays of the sum we can pass judgment that the day on the whole will be fair and sunny. On the contrary if the day breaks with blustering(prenominal) wind and rain we think that the day will not be fair. This is also applicable to the suppuration child. Business Systems Hoosier Burger Essay Example for Free

Business Systems Hoosier Burger EssayImproving Hoosier BurgerBob and Thelma Mellankamp regarded to open their bear business. They came across Myrtles Family Restaurant and saw a sign that said it was for trade. Bob and Thelma bought the eating house and their own eating place was brought to life- epoch Hoosier Burger Restaurant. The idea was one that everyone dreams of owning their own business and do not understand all the behind the scenes come forbiddens that fetch a business successful. Yes, they energize been in business for everywhere 30 years but even they understand that their dream necessitate some improvement to report in the market they be in. Bob and Thelma have discussed the idea of a computer system of rules but do not know where to start so Bob wants to bring in a consultant to address some of their weak areas and make suggestions to improve Hoosier Burger. They inform the consultant on how business is ran. This restaurant is behind the curve w hen it comes to technology. They still do paper trail on every aspect of the restaurant from deliveries, inventories, and point of sale (Valacich, George, Hoffer, 2009).Even though paper was what many companies started out with, it is no longer an heaponic way to do business. Paper allows too many human errors to come into play where as an electronic record keeping system eliminates a majority of these errors but as with any selective entropyyou notice out of it what you put into it. All this means that if you put inaccurate data into the system then the data you get from the system will excessively be inaccurate. Hoosier Burger has learned this lesson oh too well. Especially, since they did not order nice vanilla ice cream to cover their own special so they had to run to the grocery retentiveness to try to get enough for the sales they were doing on the special (Valacich et al., 2009). Bob and Thelma agreed that it would be rich to purchase an information system to assist t hem in the areas of inventory management, marketing, node service, food preparation, and point of sale (Valacich et al.). Now that it has been decided on what necessarily to be addressed with this new information system. The systems development life cycle (SDLC) begins (Valacich et al., 2009). The four main steps of this process are (1) planning and selection, (2) analysis, (3) design, and (4) implementation and operation. The first course is to plan the system out and then select the appropriate system for job. This situation a right point of sale system would give this company the system they need for daily operations and growth. A good POS covers all aspects of the restaurant from the dining area to the kitchen and even the storage areas. With any system, you have subsystems that are called components. Components by themselves do not make a system but when put together they make a complete system. In the case of Hoosier Burger one of the components of the system would be an in ventory log or database. This subsystem would track usages and deliveries to ensure that stocks are maintain at the properly level for daily operation of the business. The project development team that Hoosier Burger selected was based on the weaknesses of the organization. The focus of the new system will be on ways to improve inventory management, node service, and management reporting. Any one of these weaknesses could cripple the organization. The team needs to get as much information as possible to ensure that they are building the pose system for this organization. I would use the interview process to get as much information from the cater as possible and I would use questionnaire to customer input. Also, I would gather as many reports and logs that I could for supporting documentation but with the current processes. This type of information may not be quickly available or available at all. After gathering this information, the process of development a system to correct th eir weaknesses begins. You would also want to find out if the company has any upgrades planned so that you could combine that into the system. In this case, they want to expand to delivery services and a drive through operation. These expansions do not require a lot of upgrades to the building so these will go into effect immediately to amplification revenue for the company. The plat figure 1 shows the flow of information for the new system. Fig 1.As you can see from figure, the information system that need is robust in nature but simple. The system psychopsychoanalyst now needs to break down the different entities the company needs to hive away information about. These entities have particular characteristics that require information to be stored. There are rules used when attempting to place an identifier for each entity. The diagram will show the changes and specify the components needed for each relationship. In the schoolbook, an entity is a person, object, place, concept, o r event in the user environment of which an organization wants to store data(Valacich, George, Hoffer, 2009). Person entities are usually your employees but can be your customer. Place entities are basically the location i.e. states, regions, countries. Object entities include the machines you use, buildings your work out of, products you produce, and vehicles. Event entities can be considered sales, renewals, registrations. Concept entities include courses, accounts, or work centers.Hoosier Burger needs the ability to store information about their individual entities. The main entity is the customer that frequents the restaurant on a regular basis. They also need to store information about what products the customer is purchasing. Hoosier Burger also needs the ability to store information about the company itself and place entities which are the businesses that order meals from the company. We will now discuss attributes. Attributes according to the text are named properties or cha racteristics of entities that are of interest to the organization(Valacich et al., 2009). The following attributes should be used for the customer customer name, customer address, customer phone number, customers number of orders, and customer specific orders. These attributes can also be charge to the business entity by switching out customer with business. Attributes can also be assigned to the end product such as ingredients, price, and amount sold.Identifying the entities require assigning unique identifyingcharacteristics for the entity type. For example when transactions the with customer entity, you would use an identifier that is easy to use i.e. Customer ID, Customer Name, Customer Address, and Customer Phone. The key when dealing with identifying items is making it user friendly. Once all of these have been put into place, the system analyst now needs to build three working solutions to this companys weaknesses. The three solutions as discussed in the text are low, mediu m, and high level. The difference in the three levels usually equates to cost but it also includes how much endeavor the user has to put into the system and the type of technology used. Time is money and if your employees are having to spend much time with the system than the customer then Hoosier Burger will lose money. All of these factors come into play when developing a system for an organization. The key to success of Hoosier Burger and the project development team is communication and cooperation. The more time these two entities communicate with each the easier it will be for the project team to address the needs of the customer and customer addresses the needs of the project team. It is a two way street. In the end, the job of the system analyst is to develop a system that addresses the wants and needs of the customer while maintaining within the budget. You do not want to sell the customer a Corvette when a Camaro would have done what is needed.ReferenceValacich, J. S., Ge orge, J. F., Hoffer, J. A. (2009). Some poets use metaphors or similes to baffle the heed and force the body to feel and see the images created while others use conundrum, hyperboles, or puns to create the same effect. A good poesy should involve all the senses and make the mind work to find meaning. William Blake uses metaphors to make the mind work over eon to find multiple meanings in his work To watch a World in a Grain of Sand, while Chidiock Tichborne uses paradox to baffle the mind and replicate the single meaning in his work Elegy, Written With His aver Hand Before His Execution. To See a World in a Grain of Sand by William Blake is a short circuit poem that is fill with deep meaning. Through the use of metaphors and intelligence agency choice the work seems lengthy to the mind but short to the eye. A metaphor is a statement that maven thing is something else, but in a litera l sense it is not (Kennedy 817). A metaphor is alter with suggestion giving a simple pull in of poetry almost infinite meanings. To See the World in a Grain of Sand (1) is a statement that is loaded with suggestion. There ar many similarities between a grain of vertebral column and the field such as the world is made up of many grains of sand, some(prenominal) are round, and both are the same material to name a few. The two objects are also so different that that the striving of poetry leaves the mind scrambling to figure out the meaning of this word combination. To figure out the meaning one must look at the literal meanings of the words and the tropical meaning of the word combinations to unscramble the riddle. On the literal level one must look at the key words in the argumentation such as world, grain, and sand and find their translations and how they relate to the other words in the take up. By definition world is the Earth or Universe grain is a relatively small parti cle and sand is loose grains of worn or disintegrated rock (On Line Dictionary). The connotations of these words in the context of this soak up patron the brain to understand that an object of huge size or quantity is being compared to something very small. iodine of the many meanings that could come from this statement is its tricky to see the big picture of something while only looking at one small detail. This is only one meaning suggested through this powerful telegraph wire. Every line in Blakes poem is a metaphor that is filled with suggestion and deep meaning. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour (3) is another metaphor Blake uses to baffle the mind. Infinity is An unbound space, time, or quantity while eternity is time without beginning or end (On Line Dictionary). It is baffling for the mind to fathom these words when looked at alone, but in the context of the poem it is even more(prenominal) difficult to understand how one could fit such a mass into a hand or an hour. On the literal level the mind says it is impossible to comprehend so one must look to the figurative meaning to comprehend what is being said. One of the many meanings of this line is the same as the beginning(a) it is hard to see the big picture while only looking at one small detail. Blakes word choice also helps the meaning of the poem.If Blake were to use similes rather than metaphors the work would take on different meaning. If the line and eternity into an hour (4) were changed to eternity is like an hour the work would take on a more limited meaning. When like is put into the line, eternity and hour become directly related where as in the first line eternity is trying to be fit into an hour. A similar effect would take personate if the line heaven in a incorrect flower (2) were changed to heaven is like a wild flower. Heaven would be compared directly to a flower which would change the meaning of this line and therefore the poem.Blake employ metaphors and word choice to write a poem that is short, but contains depth. Every word and metaphor in To See the World in a Grain of Sand was carefully arranged to give the poem a broad meaning that could be interpreted in many different ways. In assembly line Chidiock Tichborne uses word choice and paradox to convey his limited meaning in the work Elegy, Written With His Own Hand in the Tower Before His Execution. A paradox is a statement that at first strikes us as self-contradictory but on reflection makes some sense (Kennedy 826).Tichbornes work is filled with paradoxes, and is summed up by the paradox at the end of individually stanza And now I live, and now my carriage is done (6). When looking at the main lines in the poem as they reoccur at the end of each stanza one wonders how it is possible to be alive now and also dead at the same time. Upon approximate examination of the work the other lines help the brain figure out the paradox. To make sense of the cardinal ide a it must be looked at in the context of the other lines in the work. Each line in the work is a paradox that is key to understanding the central idea of the poem.My youth is spent, so far I am not old (9) is one of the lines that mirrors the main point. Youth is defined as the crack of being young while old is defined as having lived for a relatively long time (On Line Dictionary). When looking at these definitions one understands that the bank clerk has used up their youth, but has not expectant old. This could be restated as And now I live, and now my life is done. I sought my death, and found it in my womb (13) is another restatement of the central idea of the poem. Sought means to look for or seek out, so the narrator is looking for his end (On Line Dictionary).Found is to come upon something by searching, and womb is a place where something is generated, so the found his death was where he began (On Line Dictionary). After looking at these definitions we realize that the n arrator has not fully lived youth let alone life and is about to die. The two poets demonstrated different figures of speech o convey their message. Blake used metaphors to give his work multiple meanings while Tichborne used paradox to restate his central idea. The two poems are very different from each other but both challenge the mind and body to find meaning making both great works of literature.
